In the second quarter of 2025, the unified platform performance of the top dining and restaurant applications in Spain showcased interesting trends. This report, based on Sensor Tower data, highlights the weekly downloads and active user metrics of the top five apps in this category.
The McDonald’s app maintained a robust presence with weekly downloads that peaked at about 91K in early June. By the end of June, downloads slightly stabilized around 87K. The app also saw a significant increase in weekly active users, starting at approximately 1.5M at the beginning of Q2 and reaching nearly 2M by the end of June.
KFC España #PolloPollo experienced fluctuations in downloads, with a high of 43K in early June, followed by a gradual decline to about 21K by the end of the month. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, peaking at over 405K in early June before tapering off to around 303K.
For BURGER KING España, weekly downloads showed a steady increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching approximately 31K. Active user numbers also followed an upward trajectory, starting at about 1.1M and finishing strong at over 1.4M.
The Club VIPS: Promos y pedidos app had a more stable download rate, fluctuating around 14K to 17K throughout the quarter. Active users saw a small peak of approximately 261K in early June, maintaining a relatively steady user base thereafter.
Finally, NESCAFÉ España demonstrated a varied download pattern, with a notable high of 15K in late June, followed by a decline. Active user figures showed a consistent rise, peaking at about 50K in mid-June before slightly decreasing towards the end of the quarter.
